ABOUT
The Pit To Peace is a 12 week session trauma training program that trains your nervous system how to get out of survival mode and into the parasympathetic nervous system for a calm and regulated state. Each session we use Integrated Somatic Trauma Therapy skills and tools to teach you how to get out of fight/flight/freeze and to stay calm when triggers occur within the body. This program is not traditional talk therapy, therefore, we are not going.into the brain's processing of the trauma, but rather feeling the body's felt sensations with that trauma to then release that feeling of threat/danger to train the body to get out of survival mode. We do not need to uncover your traumatic experiences verbally to be able to take you from your window of tolerance to a calm state. Each participant will enroll in the program with a minimum of 12 sessions, but might need more sessions depending on tolerance level at enrollment. This will be evaluated within the 12 sessions and additional sessions may be recommended. Everyone's nervous system is different within the tolerance level and what trauma as been experienced, but most will find relief and regulation within 12 sessions.
